Mother Teresa of Calcutta did not become an international icon of selfless generosity despite her belief in Jesus Christ, the only Son of God and the unique savior of the world; she lifted the wretched human refuse of Calcutta’s hard streets out of the gutters and loved them unto death because of her faith in Christ. For each of those untouchables, she insisted, was “Jesus in a particularly disturbing disguise.”
