Lara became the Executive Director of Queen of Peace Center, a substance abuse treatment program for women with addiction, their children and families, 5 years ago at the age of 25. This experience catapulted Lara into adulthood and professionalism at hyper speed. Balancing the responsibility of running a healthcare organization serving over 3,000 individuals a year, while still navigating the waters of early adulthood, Lara will share lessons learned on leadership, liberation and vulnerability.
Lara graduated from Saint Louis University with a Master of Social Work degree in 2010. She has worked at Queen of Peace Center in various capacities for 9 years. Professionally, Lara has a passion for empowering marginalized women and accompanying them in their journey towards health and wellbeing. Personally, Lara has a passion for gardening, traveling, family, friends and her two black labs.
