Graduate school, especially in the humanities, doesn’t merely demand most of our time and energy – it’s a holistic process of transformation. It demands personality changes and a revised attitude toward the world. For this “Share the Wealth,” I’m hoping to share my experiences from a year in a Master’s program to show the transformations – good or bad – graduate students make in order to thrive (or survive) in the world of academia.
I’ll share some stories accompanied by poems and excerpts from some authors whom I feel encapsulate the point of each story. I’ll have printed handouts of these poems/prose pieces for everyone.
