I first met Thuy Khuu in 2006 when she took my Social Justice class at Saint Louis University. Born in Vietnam, she moved to the US at the age of eight with her parents, sister and brother. In many stimulating conversations we have had, she has told me of her long-standing appreciation for Japanese culture. And when her sister Thoa was working in Japan in 2017, Thuy had the opportunity to live with her, stay awhile and absorb what she could.
Thuy will share some of what she learned and loved on Sunday 25 July at 7 p.m. Central Time, via Zoom https://maryvilleu.zoom.us/j/97482522920 . I look forward to seeing you!
