(or, “Dear Lord, help me drink less wine so I don’t lose my temper”)
Cait fell in love with medieval women’s mysticism during her MA at SLU when she realized they would be a much more interesting topic for her medieval theology seminar paper than Duns Scotus. This passion carried her through a history PhD. Well, sort of. Along the way, she switched her primary allegiance from the high medieval poet-theologians to the fifteenth-century Germans who…suffice to say, when she proposed a dissertation topic about their writings, her committee’s response was–and I quote–“Are you sure?” She nevertheless continues to love ALL of them, and she is really excited for the chance to help you fall in love, too.
