It’s good for me to be the citizen of a state in which there are eight and a half million prime ministers, eight and a half million prophets, and eight and a half million messiahs. Each of us is with his personal version of redemption or at least a solution. All of them shout, only a few listen. It’s not boring here. It is of course provoking, infuriating, disappointing, sometimes even triggering frustration and fury, but also quite often riveting and stirring. What I’ve seen here in my lifetime is a lot less and also a lot more than my parents and the parents of my parents ever dreamed.
