I will share stories from my work as a hospice nurse with the goal of humanizing both nurse and patient. We are not angels. They are still fully alive. And there is not really a clear we/they (though boundaries are vital!).
Teresa is a formerly aspiring midwife turned hospice nurse who did time in oncology for three years before breaking loose from the hospital. She also enjoys knitting, serving in Jornadas, and milkshakes. She is soon to be wed.
