I think Karl Marx would be a fan of sociology for the masses: no theorists, no jargon, no advanced education needed. So, there will be no name-dropping (outside of Marx, of course), no academic discussion, and no research at this talk. Just a lot of questions and an exploration of how thinking sociologically can change how we see the world!
Savannah is originally from Michigan (and Pennsylvania and Tennessee), but is now in St. Louis for the long haul. She studied sociology in undergrad and occupational therapy in grad school, and now technically is in neither field for work but still fancies herself to be both a sociologist and an OT. It is America, after all.
