The Good News is…Andrew Wimmer just invested in a Fuji camera, and this means he will he honing his eye-craft, which I am sure will bring joy, insight, and provocation to others.
One day may I be a silent witness to hear creative exchange among Andrew, Cami Kasmerchak, Oliver Clark, and Julie Ann Johnson as to the challenges and breakthroughs of birthing photos and sending them out into the world.
Andrew reminds me of this passage from Robert Henri, The Art Spirit: “When the artist is alive in any person, whatever his kind of work may be, he becomes an inventive, searching, daring, self-expressive creature. He becomes interesting to other people. He disturbs, upsets, enlightens, and opens ways for a better understanding. Where those who are not artists are trying to close the book, he opens it and shows there are still more pages possible.”
