This theme reminded me that twenty years ago this season, scores of people accompanied Mev and me in her last months. This Sunday, I invite you to participate in the sharing of stories of accompaniment from The Book of Mev. Of course, there will be plenty of time for sharing and reflecting in pairs and with the larger group. Bring the book if you have a copy; I’ll have some handouts for those who don’t have it. I won’t be surprised in the least if some of these stories prompt you to share one of your stories of accompaniment in your life.
