Upcoming Share the Wealth gathering…
St. Louis Winter Outreach is the brainchild of Teka Childress. One winter a homeless friend of hers died of hypothermia at a bus stop. Teka swore that if she could help it this would not happen again. So Teka began recruiting friends and collecting blankets. People go out in pairs into a city within a city…a hidden city and either give people rides to shelters if available, or, if not, share blankets, hats, gloves and dry socks.
Tina Busch will offer us stories from her journey into developing relationships, of making introductions, and of becoming friends and sharing more than just a blanket or a ride.
