The protagonist begins as they often do – irked about one thing or another. She dons a pair of blue nitrile gloves, trash bags stuffed into her coat pockets, and sets out determined to change the world. Or maybe just her neighborhood. But this story is as predictable as so many others you’ve heard. It turns out that Trash Lady is the one who ends up changed most of all.
When she’s not picking up trash, Katie Murphy might be found baking, beekeeping, pumping iron, modern dancing, fermenting, caring for community cats, taking too many pictures of her dog, or signing up for a class about something she’s always wanted to learn (up next: pottery?).
