Upon the death of Hugo Chavez
President Obama said:
“As Venezuela begins a new chapter in its history,
The United States remains committed
To policies that promote democratic principles,
The rule of law, and respect for human rights.”
He forgot to mention:
Attempting the assassination of heads of state
Facilitating impunity
For the war criminals in the previous administration
Generating refugees
In Pakistan
Producing collateral damage
In Afghanistan
Committing crimes against peace
In Iran
Ad nauseam
